On the Plaza de la Constitución, next to the church and the Town Hall, stands the village's only bar — which makes it much more than just a bar: it's the meeting point of Cabezas del Pozo. This is where people have their mid-morning coffee, catch up on the day's news, and where locals and travellers cross paths, just like in villages of old.
You'll find what you'd expect from a good village bar: coffee, cold beer, tapas and sandwiches to refuel before or after your walk. Sit for a while and enjoy the traditional La Moraña architecture around the square. And don't forget to look up: you can often spot a common buzzard circling slowly over the rooftops.
It opens at eleven and closes once the square goes quiet. Here, the clock is set by the locals. It's the starting and finishing point of «El círculo del pueblo», so there's no better way to end the visit than with something cold in the square.
